SeeEyE2Eye Webcam Periscope and Teleprompter
SeeEyE2EyE is an strange, but sort of cool hardware device that hooks up to your Mac to serve double duty as a teleprompter or iChat (Skype, etc.) video chat assistant. Basically, it's a kind of periscope arrangement that will project a small part of your screen to an angled transparent surface in front of your iSight. So if you position your iChat window right below the SeeEyE2EyE, it will project your interlocutor in front your iSight, allowing you to make more natural eye contact. You can also use it with teleprompting software like Videocue 2 or ProPrompter LCD to turn it into a teleprompter for making a video blog, etc.It comes in two models both for $99: one for built-in iSights (e.g. on the MacBook (Pro)) and another for external iSights and other webcams. Despite the slightly unclear website, the company did confirm to me that the "built-in laptop cams" model does work with the MacBook (Pro). Unfortunately, they also say that the same model does not work on iMacs with built-in iSights as they are apparently too thick. It ships January 22.

This has nothing to do with this post but why do I have to look at Windows Live advertisements everytime I visit your site? Isn't this a pro apple negative windows site? Get that shit off your site, it bad enough to hear everyday from all my coworkers how great Vista(OSX badly copied) is going to be let alone have to look at advertisements for windows live everytime I go to your site.

Actually at AppleInsider they always have Windows Live ads running as well.
P.S., The writers don't have a choice as to which ads run where. If Microsoft wants to pay to put an ad on TUAW or AppleInsider, they damn well can.
P.P.S., this product is ridiculous.

Why can't I just put the ichat window directly under the camera... wouldn't that accomplish the same thing. Besides its sooo bulky why take it with you when you travel?
and 4th or 3rd why have more crap around the house.
5th... how is this supposed to work with an external iSight?

This only works if all on the video conference have the device. If you just have it then everyone looks into your eyes, but you see everyone else's foreheads - as per usual. These guys really need a buy one get one free offer.

Now they need to make a periscope for the iphone camera so that you can use it for video calls.
