TUAW Video: A Mac Moment with David Pogue
Continuing our Macworld Mac Moment series, I talk (more or less) to Macworld fave, New York Times' tech columnist and "Missing Manual" author David Pogue. I ask him "three" versioned questions about iPhone, the AppleTV and, of course, the surprising lack of Mac product announcements during the keynote. (He actually got to touch the iPhone. It's worth watching the interview just so you can say "I watched an interview with someone who actually touched the iPhone." Seriously.) Click here to avoid the flash player and download the original format (.mp4) version.

Loving all these interviews, especially one with David Pogue, who's just as big an Apple fan as most of us are. Great work, cant wait to watch the third video with Leo Laporte.

Best video interview so far. Questions were concise and generally variegated. I also like Pogue.
Keep it up.

Is it just me or do these videos run particularly slow... at least on a 1.67 Ghz powerbook. youTubes, google videos and the like all run fine.

Hey guys, sorry for the video issues. We shot on fancy new HD just to show off how pretty these TUAW guys are, because of that it's not streaming quite the way we would like. Hopefully the next couple of videos will be an improvement. As with most internet video services, if you let the video completely load (let the little bar on the bottom completely go across) before playing, it should run a little smoother.
The TUAW guys will continue to provide you with direct links, but you can also click on the video to go to Netscape's page for the video which has both the full version, and a version optimized for iPod viewing.

This Netscape video system really is horrible!!
I have no problems with YouTube or Google Video on my 1GHz iBook G4 but for some reason these Netscape ones really suck. Pausing it until the video completely loads makes no difference. The video is about 2 frames a second and the audio is horribly choppy. Add to that the fact that your mp4 link is broken and I am stuck.
At the same time, whenever you guys post a YouTube video I have no problems. It shows smoothly with great audio. Please ditch the Netscape wannabe service and go with YouTube that just works. YouTube is the standard for a reason. It just works and as a Mac guy I appreciate that.

You've heard this before but I just have to chime in that the Netscape video viewer really hoovers. And that's on a 2 GHz Core Duo iMac. It's not a problem with anyone's machines. Thanks in advance for fixing it or replacing it.
