Macworld 2007 Show Floor Showoff: Freeverse
More video from the Macworld show floor, I bet you're excited! I spoke with Colin Lynch Smith of Freeverse, distributors/makers of more Mac software than you can shake a stick at. We spoke about Sound Studio 3, Lineform, and the forthcoming Heroes of Might and Magic 5 as well as Big Bang Brain Games.
Check out the iPod ready version here, and be sure to watch the whole thing to catch a 'blooper' at the end (mostly just me being me).

from what I read at the freeverse site, HOMMV will NOT be compatible with G5 machines. That's a real bummer as I am still in the stone ages (relatively speaking) with my dual core 2.0 G5.... and I was really looking forward to playing HOMMV. Don't think I was planning on upgrading to an intel mac within the next few years either so I'm sad.

Making it Intel-only via TransGaming's technologies was the way to go to make sure intra-platform networking was 100% reliable, and also to provide patches at nearly the same time as the PC release. I think folks will be quite surprised with Heroes on the Mac. We worked extremely hard on making sure that the game would look and play great on all Intel macs, especially MacBooks and Minis - the Windows version does not support such "lower-end" hardware, resulting in a variety of graphical quirks. But running under OS X on the same hardware, it looks fantastic!
