This morning's Apple Store downtime was chromatically inspired: the iPod Shuffle now comes in five colors, same as the Nano but with orange substituting for black. Is it just me, or are these the same colors as the gumdrop iMacs? No "grape," but otherwise pretty close.Now your Valentine can have a Shuffle to match his/her soulful eyes. Even after a weekend-long bender.
Thanks to everyone who sent a heads-up on the store downtime and the new Shuffles.

Most people are already complaining about the lack of black. But I myself quite fancy Orange, it's that I don't need yet another iPod but else I would buy it.. maybe I still will just for the collection. I really like that they did this and to be honest I didn't see it coming, alltho most of their products are multi-coloured now-a-days.

Well I've just bought the 802.11n updater and it won't install on my machine - it says my volume doesn't meet the requirements - yet it's a brand new MacBook Pro.....doh!
Lucky it was only £1.25 ;-)

Hey, i just bought a shuffle last week :( But I'm okay with silver, and I have a question about charging it, it doesn't seem to charge from my 4 port usb hub when the laptop is off? The hub is plugged into power as well as my macbook pro, do hubs not charge things like the shuffle?
