I've tried this software when it was still under the name "Vienna Project". Haven't seen the Mac beta yet, but the software worked great under Boot Camp. Not much content to see yet, besides crappy MTV content.
I hope that more independent content will make it into Joost. The whole purpose of internet television is choice, and internet TV platforms should be building on vidcast.

"Try getting hold of an invitation from another tester. All new beta-testers now get tokens allowing them to invite friends and acquaintances, and these tokens will give you instant access to Joost™. Get ahead of the curve - beg your friends for an invite today!"
Anybody wanna hook a brother up?

I signed up for this beta awhile ago, and even blogged about it in anticipation, and I have yet to receive an invite. I figured back then that signing up through the proper channels would produce an invite just as well as begging on forums etc.... I guess not.
So now I am asking if anyone has a beta account and an extra invite, one would be very appreciated. I am a masters student in Digital Media and I'm dying to try this out!
If you feel like sharing, send me a message at joost [at] roundhere [dot] net
Thanks!

Can someone explain to me why this is intel only? It's not hard to build a Universal version

Maybe it requires some intel-only features, like some weird SSE* instruction set.

If you're going to use French because you think it sounds chic, please check your spelling. It's written née not nèe.
