Macworld Expo returns to Switzerland
After many years, MacWorld Expo is set to return to Switzerland. TUAW reader Steve pointed us the news over at MacPrime. My German is pretty schreklich, but it sounds like May 22th is the day to be looking forward to in Zürich. German-speaking readers, please feel free to jump in and translate the article for us and let us know what's up on the Macworld.ch front.
Thanks Steve

Yes, Google’s translation is quite good there. Except the “in Bälde” which should have been shortly/upcoming/soon.

Here's a translation of the German text:
After many years, there will finally be another Macworld Expo in Switzerland this year!
It is rumored that the organizers of the "MacSwiss Event", that has been held for two years during the "Orbit" in Basel and the "Orbit/iEX 2006" in Zurich, have received the permission to make a Swiss Macworld Expo from the IDG people (Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco).
The Macworld Expo is again supposed to take place on the occasion of the "Orbit/iEX 2007" from 22th to the 25th May in the fair center (Messezentrum) in Zurich. Unfortunately, the Macswiss website is currently offline, however further information should soon be available from the organizers' website.

YES!
Do you have to be invited to go?
Or can the general public attend? :P

Well, I hope it's different than AppleExpo in Paris, b/c that was quite boring...

I was at one Orbit/Macworld many years ago in Basel but since Orbit and iEx merged and moved to Zurich. The event shifted from a consumer to a business expo and I've been disappointed the last two times I've been there.
So I don't know what to make of this. Does it mean a shift back to a consumer expo with the Macworld back or will the new siwss Macworld also focus on the business market?

i think it's just the name which would be changed ... the event would be still a small expo (mainly focused to the business market as the last few years ...) ... the MacSwiss was just a fragment of the whole expo ... i don't think it would be a large Mac-Expo as you know it from SF, or NW, Tokyo or else (from the past / in former times) ... nothing to jet around the world for! ;-)
