WriteRoom, the application for "distraction-free writing," reached version 2.1 today. Changes include:To get an instant map to any address, just go to your Address Book and right click on the address field of any one of your contacts and select "Map Of." The address will then be revealed in Google Maps on Safari. You can do the same if a data detector determines there is an address in an e-mail in Mail.

Big deal. Think (freeverse.com/think) does that for free, but with any application.

Hmm... Think does do a good job, but it's not the same - Have you tried WriteRoom; It's like using a GUI-less terminal, I love it and couldn't get any work done without it.

Jesus! This thing is great....being a writer, this sure is a lot better than Microsoft Word....no distraction...like using an Apple II!

For a writing app that is supposed to have minimal distrations, it sure does get a lot of them added on.

If WR 2 has too much stuff for you, WR 1 is still free and much more basic. You don't have to even save files anywhere.
The best use for WR 2 is editing text from other apps via system-wide hotkey.
