Yojimbo 1.4.1

While it isn't a major release that adds big features like tagging or AppleScript support, Yojimbo 1.4.1 does fix a lot of miscellaneous bugs that users have been battling. A full changelog is here, listing fixes for things like crashes when viewing web archives and some scripting operations, as well as an auto-save fix to make sure your most recent un-saved changes don't get tossed out with the bath water when you quit.

Love Yojimbo, and I use it to organize the thousands of ideas I have for my J-List blog updates. (http://www.jlist.com)

this is the best update so far. all the annoying (empty web archives) and time-wasting (non-autosaving of notes when quitting) bugs are gone. now that's gonna make me really like Yojimbo!

Yojimbo is a nice idea terribly executed. The great tagging ability of Yojimbo must be balanced against the fact that it stores everything in a database. I'm not talking about the tag metadata. I'm talking about all the files. Yojimbo is a proprietary file system with a search interface. Once a file is added to Yojimbo it is only available through Yojimbo. That's not really effective for most people.
