Apple NAB lineup and Special Event
Macworld reports that Apple will hold a Special Event on Sunday the 15th of April during the upcoming National Association of Broadcasters trade show. There are no details as yet as to what will be announced, but one guesses the event will have to do with Apple's suite of post-production video tools. In addition, over at BDMetrics, where you can often find corporate listings for major trade shows, there seems to be an early lineup for what will be displayed at Apple's booth.

wisconsin, are you familiar with B&H Photo from NYC?
The company is owned and operated by Hasidic Jews. Believe it or not, some people have a different background than you do.

So nobody wants to take a bit more daring guess? That maybe this and the Apple TV delays are related, and that they want to announce movie rentals from iTunes Store a la Netflix? It would make sense to hold back the hardware device to coincide with the service announcement...

I had that impression about B&H for quite some time. I don't understand why they don't allow their servers to accept web orders during their religious observance times. It seems a little odd interpretation that even their inanimate servers get their "day of rest".

iPods are very unlikely. The target audience for Apple at NAB are their pro users, meaning possibly: Final Cut Studio, a teaser on the next Shake, Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, maybe Logic. They've never updated their consumer products at NAB that I remember.
