"Hi. I'm Phil. I did it. And I'm proud of it...I made the 'Vote Different' ad," said Philip de Vellis on this recent Huffington Post writeup. A "proud Democrat" and Obama supporter, deVellis authored the Hillary-as-Big-Brother ad on his personal Macintosh, uploaded it to YouTube and passed the link around to some blogs. de Vellis has now resigned from his job with Blue State Digital, a firm that has provided technology to several campaigns including Obama's.
de Vellis does not specify which software he used, but iMovie and Final Cut are obvious candidates. He said he spent just one Sunday afternoon putting the ad together.

What a jerk!
First, this was totally unoriginal, scarcely distinguishable from downright plaigarism.
Secondly, people ought to think before invoking 1984--maybe even read the damn book, if that's not too steep a requirement--particularly if they are going to invoke it in a *political* context rather than in a joke IT context. Mrs Clinton might not make a good president, but she is hardly to be compared with the negation of humanity constituted by The Party and represented by the figure of Big Brother in 1984. This must have been made by someone with no moral understanding of what O'Brien is about and of the personal betrayal, the almost cosmic fall, experienced by Winston in Room 101.
Some of what I've seen about Obama suggest he himself is a far more sinister figure than Mrs Clinton would be on the worst possible reading of her character. Be that as it may, and unsuitable a candidate as she may be on some views, she's done nothing to deserve this.

I think the nexus the author of the video was trying to express between Orwell's 1984 and Hillary Clinton is SOCIALISM. Hilary would like to take money from large profitable corperations and REDISTRIBUTE it to those who are too lazy or dumb to compete and succeed.
But then again, I could be wrong.

I have another interpretation, and that Phil is suggesting that Hillary is only making new-speak, much like what 1984 has, war is peace and all that. He's not to first to say that, the Hollywood man Geffen said the same thing, suggesting that the Clintons are simply liars that lie often and casually. I don't know why they think that.
