New iPod-ready kitchen TV
Engadget recently tracked down this kitchen-ready iPod TV. Philip's new DCD778 offers a flip-down screen with an iPod mounting dock, Just pop in your iPod and watch it on the 8.5-inch widescreen LCD. The unit also provides a built-in ATSC/NTSC TV tuner, AM/FM radio, DVD playback and (of course!) a cooking timer. It supports 4G and 5G iPods as well as the mini and nano. Philips expects to start shipping the units later this month. The price will be around $400.

Is it necessary to see the iPod? I'd rather that devices of this kind hide it somehow.
