Unboxing AppleTV
Here's TUAW's exclusive first look at the new AppleTV box and its contents. As you can see from the pictures, there's not all that much to be found inside the box: the AppleTV, some documentation, a power cord, and a remote control. The remote control was a lot harder to extract from the packaging than you might think--expect to do a bit of digging to get it out. I ended up using a butter knife to flip it up.Share

same thing happend to me, it started in china, then hong kong, last I saw yesterday it was in alaska, and this morning I was just curious to 'where in the world is my apple tv' today, and to my surprise it said it was in KoP and on the truck for delivery... right then... just seconds later... the doorbell rang! :-)
pulling out the remote wasn't hard, just pull on the plastic tab sticking out from the plastic it was wrapped in.

For those of you in a hurry to "unbox" your spiffy new AppleTV, here is an alternate method of unboxing.....

Cool pictures, but what's with the TUAW paper in every photo? Photoshop would have been much classier.

I almost missed it too since it is clear plastic, after all.
The apple tv is soo sweet. I love apple.
Ordered the free shipping, est arrival tomorrow, it was here at 9 am today.
Been watching some TV and movies on it, it's very sweet. It stores where you left off during your movie, so you can resume if you wish.
one thing though, you have to sync your apple tv, kinda like an ipod shuffle, except apparently you cannot use the device w/o being on the network with the computer (though I have not tried this at all yet)
another cool feature is it will auto sync your last 5 bought movies, and only load up unwatched shows from your season pass.
If only I could get my wi-fi to work =(
seems not to like TKIP
I guess I'll have to splurge and buy the apple airport express if some sort of work around doesn't arise in a while, as running cable along my room, is not the most ideal situation.
... And the award for over packaging for 2007 goes to Apple Corps and their over packaging everything from a Mac to an iPod Sock!!!
