Apple releases Boot Camp 1.2 with Windows Vista support

- Updated drivers, including but not limited to trackpad, AppleTime (synch), audio, graphics, modem, iSight camera
- Support the Apple Remote (works with iTunes and Windows Media Player)
- A Windows system tray icon for easy access to Boot Camp information and actions
- Improved keyboard support for Korean, Chinese, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Russian, and French Canadian
- Improved Windows driver installation experience
- Updated documentation and Boot Camp on-line help in Windows
- Apple Software Update (for Windows XP and Vista)
I want to issue one word of caution, however, as I don't believe the system requirements list on the Boot Camp page have been updated specifically for Vista's hard drive requirements: the last I remember, any version of Vista besides Home Basic wants nearly 15GB just to install everything that is included, so be sure you partition some extra space if you were still working from XP's numbers.
With that said, get out a blank CD and head over to the Boot Camp page to download the new version.

I had absolutely zero problem installing vista when it launched on my macbook. I installed it just like I would a copy of XP, everything worked perfectly.
Am I missing something???
Oh and business edition only took up 8.6 gigs.

Installing Vista on my MacBook sucked. I ended up deleting it an re-installing XP. Trying to sleep didn't work, I couldn't use my iSight, drivers were a pain... etc... etc...

Apple definetly did that just to screw w/ Digitimes. I guess that means June is the release date.

This little blunter tops the readme:
NOTICE: Boot Camp Beta v1.2 is preview software licensed for use on a trial basis for a limited time.
I'm assuming the final version in Leopard isn't going to be available to download separately.

Hey, does anybody know, by any chance, if installing the Boot Camp drivers in Parallels make the microphone work? I tried everything... It just won't pic up a signal...

@4:
I got my Apple Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to work with an earlier version of BootCamp. You can't install XP with it, but once you get the drivers installed you can switch over to Bluetooth. There were issues though:
1. Holding down Option at boot with a Bluetooth keyboard doesn't get you to the boot menu, so you MUST use the boot disk control panel.
2. When booting into XP I had to turn my Bluetooth keyboard off and then back on again to get XP to recognize it so that I could log in (no such trouble with the mouse though).

So I think I know the answer to this but is there no way to upgrade a current Boot Camp XP install with a Vista upgrade disc or do I have to go out and buy a full version of Vista? Apple clearly says "A bona fide full version of Microsoft Windows: ... (No upgrade or multi-disc versions)" but does this only apply to a new BC install or has anyone tried upgrading to Vista with this new version?

Beware: Bootcamp 1.2beta causes significant slowdowns to Matlab as assesed using Matlab's Bench command. Most of the slowdown occurs in 2D and 3D tests. I haven't tested other benchmarks.
