Put that Apple TV in your car
Over at AutoBlog, John Neff writes about why you should put Apple TV into your car. He has a point. Plug it in and you go straight into the Front Row interface. You don't have to log in, you don't need a keyboard, you don't need a mouse. Its small form factor means that it's even easier to embed than a Mini and with its built-in WiFi you can probably sync from your garage. What more could one ask for?

April 03 2007 at 4:38 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyIf it had a DVD player it'd work for me... A browser would be nice too, seeing as it has all that handy dandy wifi waiting to be used, but I could live without that. I just don't see the purpose of it because I'd need to have a DVD player hooked up as well.

most automotive screens are composite or vga input
What's next?
A Multi-Touch Windshield perhaps ??!!!
I don't know...would watching the road rather than AppleTV while driving be too much to ask?
I don't get why you would do this. Just using a video iPod is so much easier. Ok, sure, the geek factor. But the video iPod has every advantage. No power supply necessary. Smaller. Bigger hard drive. Easier to sync - wifi is slower and less reliable and more annoying when it's in your car. And you can take the iPod with you.
