Battlestar Galactica fan made game

You may recall that a while back we told you about Wing Commander Saga, a fan-made extension to the Wing Commander universe using the open-sourced Freespace 2 engine. Now some similarly avid B*G fans are putting together another Freespace 2 powered game set in the (new) Battlestar Galactica universe called Beyond the Red Line. A demo has already been released that allows you to take on the role of a "nugget" Viper pilot aboard the Battlestar Pegasus. The voice-acting is actually quite a bit better than in WCS, and the artwork really does feel like it's from the show. There's even the option for online multi-player. Unfortunately, there are also some graphical glitches with bitmaps (as there were with WCS), and the Freespace 2 engine is becoming somewhat dated. Nonetheless, if you've ever wanted a crack at the Cylons, here's your chance.
A demo for Beyond the Red Line is available as a free download (for Mac, Windows, and Linux).

The game is based on Freespace2 (can be found on mac gamefiles.com) That game is a lot easier to play. As you progress in BTRL even on easy mode it becomes next to impossible to dogfight the bad guys.

Even more amazing is that it's actually cross-platform...
@Samuel
Yeah, I have that game on my XP partition. But I don't have a joystick. :(
Anyway, that game is hard as heck!
This is awesome...I just wrote about how I was suffering from BSG Withdrawal and now this comes along to fill the gap!
I can't wait for the download to finish, this game looks fracking awesome.
This game is very looks very cool. Graphics are really good. Dog fighting is very hard. Even with a joystick it takes a long time to take out an enemy fighter.

During the unpacking process the installer may stop responding. This may last several minutes (up to ten minutes in some instances), and is normal." I'm not sure if that applies to the dmg mounting though.
