Quicksilver meets Twitter and Growl
Here is a cool Quicksilver script that lets you post messages to Twitter. Once you've downloaded the script and placed it into your Quicksilver/Actions folder, you can simply call up Quicksilver, invoke text mode (by typing a "."), tab to the action pane, type "tweet" and you're off. Plus, Growl will let you know when you've successfully "tweeted."Not bad for a script that was written from start to finish in the time it takes to play Prince's Purple Rain all the way through (that was the limit the author set for himself).
I recently jumped onto the Twitter bandwagon, and while I do admit that it's fun, it isn't especially useful. Do I really need to know that Johnny is looking for AAA batteries? No.

What the hell does a clown have to do with twitter?

Twitter has proven useful for me in two ways:
1) I update my status so my wife can know what's going on. For instance, the other day, I was on the shuttle going to pick up the car and updated twitter to let her know. Saves us a text message since we get charged coming and going.
2) I have a decent size friends list of people that I would like to pick the brains of sometimes. Twitter is perfect for this. I can post an open tweet asking for some information and usually I get a tweet back about it in a little while. And, I immediately have an archive of the solution.
