Word Diggity, isn't it time for you to get back to writing for Maccrapper? Comparing TUAW with Maccrapper is like comparing apples and oranges.
April 24 2007 at 11:42 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyZeromaru, I think you missed the history here. Only a few zealots are saying that Macs aren't computers, and it's not to say that Macs aren't personal computers.
"PC" came from IBM's model PC as a brand, I believe. The clones were PC compatible, eventually just contracted to PC. Macs weren't PC compatible so people just called them Macs. Or are you going to argue with people for concatenating "Macintosh"?
Now, that's changed because of the Intel switch, but the history and lineage really hasn't. I'm not sure if Macintosh computers are really PC compatible, not having a BIOS and all.
Well gee, Robbie, what makes you think anyone cares what you think? This is Mac-related news and as such it has as much of a place here as anything else.
Meanwhile, where's your greatwondersuperfantastic Mac blog that's so much better than TUAW or MacApper?
I'm always interested in hearing what 14-year-olds think of the latest Mac software...not! Leave this on Maccrapper, not TUAW.

And Apple and the entire Mac community has really got to stop calling Windows "PCs" since Macs themselves are PCs and every bad thing they say about "PCs" refer exclusively to Windows, angering us Linux users."
Yeah, I like to worry about semantics, too.
Switching from PC to Mac? So Mac's aren't personal? Oh! They're not computers!
Macs are PCs. Get over it. And Apple and the entire Mac community has really got to stop calling Windows "PCs" since Macs themselves are PCs and every bad thing they say about "PCs" refer exclusively to Windows, angering us Linux users.
damn, sounds like a good ass deal. too bad I don't have a compelling switch story.
I just went to the Apple store and bought a macbook because I needed it for school.
A giveaway without giving away things, I am confused :P
A better name would be a "contest"? =)
