Apple Board members release statement supporting Jobs
Apple's Board members (well, the ones who aren't Steve Jobs) released a rather brief reply to Fred Andersen's statement that he tried to warn Jobs about possible accounting issues. The Board expresses their full confidence in his Steveness and goes out of their way to say they won't engage in a public battle with Andersen (though, a press release isn't exactly private). This options scandal is only going to get uglier, methinks.

I love this! It's straight out of 1984 (how apt) to say >>We are not going to enter into a public debate with Fred Anderson or his lawyer.

It rots all of a sudden with Steve the Worm wiggling out of the Apple core!! Steve will be replaced by another Pepsi CEO and the history repeats itself.
