Sneak preview of latest Get a Mac ad
Our readers are a wily bunch. Take Connor, for instance: he was surfing the web and noticed an unfamiliar Get A Mac ad appearing on the page, so he fired up his trusty copy of Snapz Pro and captured it for posterity. It's not yet on Apple's website, but we wanted you to enjoy it first. That's love, right there.
The video title is "Vista Nightmare," but I am personally thinking of it as "PC in a Box." You'll see.
Thanks Connor!

Guess the "upgrade nightmare" doesn't include Protools and the Intel/PPC switch /upgrade

Not for the general consumer. You might as well have just spoken Latin or Klingon as far as most people are concerned. :)

Apple needs to move one from this Mac vs PC ad. It was fairly clever the first few times, but they need to MOVE ON. I'm sure if they did a poll, they'd find that we're all sick of the ads! I like the concept - showing the differences between Macs and PCs and. They need to stop it with these commercials. Apple claims to be so innovative... They better invent a new campaign ad! Hit up on the iPhone or something!

apple has been known for sticking with the same ads and dragging them out, you just have to ignore it and keep enjoying the fact you know what he best machine is.
remember the jeff goldblum ads? those were ALWAYS put down in magazines, on sites, everywhere, but they just kept making them. now, i really think they need new ipod ads. sure, those ads helped a revolution, but seriously, adding a new gradient to the background doesnt make it a new concept.

@5: Thing is Apple don't need new iPod ads. Everyone knows what an iPod is, and what it does. So they can keep the same style. But for Macs they can't do this. They need to tell everyone why they are better, and apart from comparing them, it would be quite difficult.

@6: I'll take this opportunity to once again harp on the idea of doing ads for Mac OS X that draw parallels between its features and how real life would be with them (i.e. imagine doing a real-life Spotlight search while shopping for groceries; the items fly off shelves from all over the store to hover in the air in front of you and zip back as you speak more of the word "cereal" in slow-motion). You could even use the concept to make a dig at Flip 3D's inferior usability versus Exposé: a student has just magically rearranged all the items on his desk to see them all, he glances over to his right, and the guy next to him is "flipping" through one worksheet and textbook after another in exasperation, trying to find the right one. :P

I love these commercials.
I hope they start pushing better looking, easier to use interface, more reliable (I've played with Vista a bit, it's terrible. Things are slow, it's using a lot of ram and cpu time for nothing, and it's jumping all over the place), they need to push how with an Mac, you can work faster, using innovative tools such as keynote and spotlight.
They need to push that you can run all your windows applications, as well as Mac, giving it a broader variety of software.
And I'm tired of people saying the Mac Pro isn't for gaming, it is. They need to push the reasons for this as well.
I'd like to see a new mac ad involving Mac and PC playing a game, and Mac wins, due to software problems (Vista) on the PC

"Weird"
Way to break the fourth wall AND have another quotable one-liner (actually, one-worder) in the ads (IMO ... the first one was "Touché").
To be fair though, can't Vista use vintage XP drivers?
