Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.5 Update
Attention Microsoft Office 2004 users (and I know there are a few of you out there), our friends in Redmond have released Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.5 Update. What's hidden in this update? Stability and security updates, including one that addresses a vulnerability which allows an attacker to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory.Clearly, this update is recommended for all Microsoft Office 2004 users.
Thanks, Nik and Dave.

59.3 MB for a "patch" seems to be a whole lot to me! Hopefully Office won't get "stuck" anymore after a day of use. I had to force quit a thousand times up to now. I HAVE to use this software because my company only provides MS Exchange server based email and so there's really no alternative out there (no POP or IMAP available by the company).
The lack of support for docx file formats is becoming an issue, as I am one of the few using MacOSX.
And... YES. I wish Office 2008 would be released. But I still read no news regarding this software (no release date).
Ok, now I will download and install, hoping it solves more problems than it creates :-)

What year is this.. we're still waiting for them to go Universal. It's the slowest software on my computer. God. Waiting for Office to load..Seriously.. When Apple does their Excel-killer, I am dumping Office for good.

When will Office for Mac include MS Access? File Maker just doesn't cut it.

has anyone installed this yet? any issues? I tend to wait on office updates for a while (at least the past year or so) cause I lost my install disk in hurricane katrina and can't afford to need to re-install (thank goodness I waited on installing that bad update way back)

Yep - I've installed it on an Intel MacBook Pro. It works fine - unfortunately no performance increase due to it still being a PPC app though.

I actually felt it to be a little faster on my Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro. No problems with it on my iMac G5.
Sadly I have to say that Neo Office probably loads slower on my MacBook Pro and it's Intel native!

I just tried to run the update office 2004 for Mac 11.3.5 update and had problems. I had to reboot after the 3rd try, then all my settings were gone, the dock was back to original, for some dumb reason iPhoto lost all of its pictures and Entourage was gone. Thankfully everything is backed up.

I ran the update and now Word refuses to open anything but a blank new document. It worked fine before this update.

It won't let me install the update - it says there is an update ready to install but when I try to install it it says that I don't have the correct software to update
