Microsoft releases final Vista/iPod fix
Awhile ago we blogged about an issue some Vista users were encountering when ejecting their iPods. The long and the short of it is that the iPod would get corrupted after being ejected. Microsoft issued a patch, but it didn't fix the issue. Today comes news from the Windows Vista blog that a final patch has been released which should fix the problem once and for all. It is interesting to note that Apple and Microsoft worked together to fix this problem. The patch is available on the web now, and will be available on Windows Update May 22nd.

I disagree. Windows users should not get the same quality experience. It is in Apple's best interest not to give them the same experience for reasons so obvious that I won't bother mentioning them. Besides, Microsoft deserves a good ass kicking from Apple after all the crap that MS has put Apple through with their either total lack of support or half-assed support (WMP, Office, everything Microsoft makes). In other words, it's called the Golden Rule, and Apple followed it.

May 09 2007 at 1:27 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHmm. I understand that many Windows users just hate Vista. The local computer store here is still selling most of its computers with XP. With all the new DRM, Vista is just too slow (especially for the gamers).
P.S. It would appear that it is the Apple Users that seem to like Vista over XP. Perhaps it is the 3D effects etc.
I am also worried about Leopard. If Apple bends over backwards to please the MPAA and RIAA, then all the DRM Garbage that is in Vista may end up in Leopard. (MPAA may insisit on the DRM garbage for Blue Ray or HD DVD support). I am crossing my fingers and hoping that is not the case.
i was just wondering if leopard will act like this once it gets released . . .
