Keyboard shortcuts are one of the finer pleasures of computing, especially on a Mac. While we've been blogging all manner of these...

"When it comes to a list of shortcuts like this, I think I exhibit the Homer Simpson syndrome, where I always learn something new that inevitably knocks out one of the older shortcuts." Posted May 9th 2007.

I've just sent in a correction to Apple. It's not necessary to hold the Command key in the Finder List View for the following:
Command-Right Arrow Expand folder (list view)
Option-Command-Right Arrow Expand folder and nested subfolders (list view)
Command-Left Arrow Collapse Folder (list view)
Did they fix the cmd-space being mapped to two things by default?

SHIFT-COMMAND-U opens the /Applications/Utilities folder.
SHIFT-COMMAND-K opens the Computer/Network folder.

Wow, y'all beat me to the RSS links, but yea: that's where I've been getting these.

:)
Neither are my favourites:
1. Hover over any selectable word (i.e. in a doc or on the internet) and hold Control - Command - D for a mini dictionary entry.
2. Hit F5 whilst typing a word (fn - F5 on notebooks) for a 'word completion' list.
Lovely.
Apple RSS feeds (there's a link at the bottom of the homepage):

The RSS feeds are here:
http://www.apple.com/support/rss/
And let's not forget:
option-click on the close button of a Finder window to close ALL of them!
command-click the Finder window title to see the path to the folder you're in, and you can select a parent folder from the dropdown menu.
command-delete to move a file immediately to the trash
command-right arrow (end of line), command-left arrow (beginning of line), command-up arrow (top of document), command-down arrow (bottom of document).
option-top/bottom previous or next paragraph
option-left/right previous or next word
Note that these move the text cursor (if appropriate) whereas the "home" and "end" keys do not. And if you combine the shift key, text from your current position to the top/bottom/left/right will be selected for copy and cut operations.
None of these are in the "one."
@2 He probably got the update notification from one of these feeds. http://www.apple.com/support/rss/ I know it was in the OS X feeds.
