Philips AJ300D/37 Docking Entertainment System

We here at TUAW are fans of iPod gadgets, and this new Dock/Alarm clock/Speaker system from Philips looks pretty good. It uses 'wOOx' technology to create impressive sound (according to their website) and includes a remote designed for one handed use. In addition it has dual alarm clock and an FM/AM tuner and best of all it only costs $80.
What's the problem? The name is horrible. What possessed Philips to call this thing the AJ300D/37 is beyond me, but a rose by any other name is just as sweet I suppose.

@ Jason: AHAHAHHAHAH!! yeah no shit.
it sounds like shit. admittedly i do have a high standard when it comes to audio, but it's still just an alarm clock/radio, and doesn't sound much better than one.
the 'wOOx' technology is a flat panel speaker, they've used the same technology in a few other products.

It looks like it should be floating in the middle of a lake to help boaters with navigation.
Never trust sound schemes with "OO" in the middle of their names.

who cares if the sound is not perfect? it's an $80 alarm clock with iPod support, what do you expect? For that price it looks fine.
I was shopping for exactly this a couple of weeks ago for my girl, didn't find anything under EUR 150 so I'd have loved this

Looks like a perfect bathroom radio. Too many iPod docks (a) have no tuner (and we all need the radio from time to time) and (b) are designed for a large horizontal space. I've been looking for something with a decent sound for a bathroom radio that (a) has FM (with at least good reception), (b) is more vertically designed, and (c) is not black. I'll have to see if I can go hear it somewhere but it's got a lot of plusses out the gate.
