MacBook Battery Charger/Conditioner

Keeping your Mac portable's battery properly conditioned is something that most folks don't do (I know I don't, and I'm aware of the fact that I should). NewerTech, masters of all power-related Mac things, have just announced a Battery Charger/Conditioner for MacBooks and MacBook Pros. This $149 product intelligently charges two batteries at once (it charges one, senses it is done, and then starts on the second battery).

What would be even better is a "battery charge adapter" - small device with MagSafe-comaptible connector on one end, battery-compatible connector on the other end...
That way, if you have 2 batteries, you can use one in your MacBook and be mobile, while charging the other one directly with your MacBook AC adapter via this "battery charge adapter"!
@Brian:
sure, but if, for example, you're on a plane and you don't have access to a power point, having an extra battery or two is always handy.
This is good because it means you can charge 2 batteries in the time it takes to charge 1, and you'll have twice as much power when you're on the plane.
Great Idea . . . .they should make a backpack version with a solar adapter so that you can charge in your bag as well . . . . i hate trying to find a plug at the local coffee shop only to have people trip over it

I can order a laptop with 2 batteries inside the machine?!? or 2 optical drives with no battery. Please, show me those build to order options on Apple's site. Just because you don't find a need for something, doesn't mean it isn't useful to other people. Yes I know machines are thinner, lighter etc. now because of no more swap-bays, doesn't reduce the need.
@required you miss hot swappable gays of yesteryears pc notebooks. Nobody uses those anymore, didn't you get the right part in the computer to begin with?

you would think that having just bought an extra battery would make this even more useful becuase you could charge one while you use the the other.
I was just wondering why Apple didn't have something like this available...not sure if I can invest another $150 for it (since I just bought another MacBook battery) but definitely tempting.
