Mac 101: Get rid of that Apple watermark in iDVD

I do not spend too much of my time (free or otherwise) in the wilds of iDVD, however, last week I found myself needing to make a DVD for work. What better program, thought I, than iDVD to get these movies onto a DVD! It worked like a charm, and within 30 minutes I had a very slick looking DVD but there was one little problem. This DVD I was making had nothing to do with Apple, its products, or its technology and yet there on the lower right hand corner was an Apple logo watermark. It was out of place, and I wanted to get rid of it.
Luckily, it is very easy to get rid of that watermark. Simply go into the iDVD preferences and you'll find the option right there in the General section. Uncheck 'Show Apple logo watermark' and you're good to go.
Simple? Yes, however, sometimes the most difficult thing about a program is knowing the options that are available. Go forth and make watermark-less DVDs!

They need to include support for external encoders in the next iDVD. I would like to use one of them MPEG-2 USB encoder processors with it without messing with DVD Studio Pro or another "pro" app.

"Show Package Contents" is such a great feature with such great potential for either enhancing apps on your own system or wreaking havoc on your friend's system.

Step 3 would be to find the graphic inside the "package" and remove it ... or better yet ... replace it with your own company's logo for custom watermarking

I really wonder why they would have this on by default. Or even have it at all.

@artifex. it's product branding. That's also the reason why you get Apple stickers with new products. But not like normal companies, it's not forced (you can remove it, and in iWeb it's even a non-default option) but most users I know are proud to use the Apple logo. Some even put "made on mac"it in their credits for a video.

It's one thing to list them in credits, and quite another to emblazon their logo across your work, like someone thinking they're cool because they wear stuff with a Nike swoosh or something. :)

Could you please stop using JPEG-formatted screenshots. They look horrible! Use PNG when you have few colours.

[In Jeff Goldblum's voice] There's no step three!
I also like being told to "Go froth." It makes me want a cappuccino.
