Griffin announces iPhone auto charger
Why, just yesterday I was driving along and thinking, "I wish I had an auto charger for my iPhone..." Lucky for me, the Griffin Technology Psychic Friends Network answered my unspoken plea. The PowerJolt for iPhone fits into your car's 12v jack (we used to call it the "cigarette lighter" back in the day) and features a USB to dock connector that attaches to your iPhone, charging it up and sucking your car battery dry. It also ships with a mini USB cable.
The PowerJolt costs $19.99US and is available now.

What's the difference between this product and the Griffin PowerJolt for iPod?

@PoS, my thoughts exactly.... or the PowerPod for that matter?

Not sure about everywhere, but here at the AT&T store in Odessa, TX, they had these on hand on the 29th at the big iPhone release. I bought one when I bought my iPhone. Both work very well. :)

FYI -- My 3rd Gen iPod car charger works fine w/ my iPhone. It's a Belkin and it says "F8V7067-APL" on one side. (I assume that's the model # as it has no other markings.)
Cheers,
FL

I went to the "Five Below" store and picked up a bunch of AC and DC iPod chargers for $5.00 each. All work just fine on the iPhone.

My guess is the label on the package is the only difference.

Most of the power cords for iPods will work with the iPhone. The accessories that won't work are things like speakers, the Nike thing, FM radios, etc (due to interference from the cell radio)
