Silly us. In our iPhone excitement, we forgot to post a Rig of the Week. Bad bloggers!This week's rig comes from tnkgrl, who has a ModBook of her own (or at least had a chance to visit with one). They were announced at Macworld in January, and were scheduled to start shipping this summer. Has anyone received one? They're kinda bulky, but we'd LOVE to play with one.

No-one has one, but OWC have promised that they'll give us a "firm shipping date" in "the very near future". Of course they made that promise 18 days ago, and their promises haven't, to date, been worth the electrons sacrificed to communicate them, but I live in hope.

Those pictures are 100% undeniably all from the MacWorld SF expo. Those yellow nikon bags in the picture are standard fare and the OWC booth had that fake glossy black granite counter tops.

i hear you, NoModbookYet... all I have are promises...
i'm rethinking my strategy, either i'll buy a PC tablet (ew!) or wait for a touchscreen macbook (with the technology and without the initial resistance for virtual keyboards - iphone - it's just a matter of time).
