Xtorrent 1.1 beta 1 released with major new features

Dave Watanabe has released v1.1 beta of Xtorrent, his excellent BitTorrent client. With this major x.1 release, Watanabe has included some significant new features like individual file selection, file prioritization, individual file completion status, and improved privacy options. Watanabe has updated Xtorrent's UI to help bring some of these features directly to the user, and I'm also noticing what I think are a couple of new preferences, such as the ability to individually toggle whether audio and/or video are added to iTunes after being completely downloaded. The new features are definitely welcome, and Watanabe is optimistic about some planned features down the road.
After trying far too many Mac OS X BitTorrent clients, I finally decided on Xtorrent and have been a happy owner. A base single user license costs $24, with the option to purchase lifetime upgrades for only $9 more.

I actually have an email where he states it would just be too much trouble for him to credit me the $5 I spent on Inquisitor, shortly before it was made free, towards another one of his apps. That $5 would have resulted in lifetime registrations for NewsFire and xTorrent. Not to mention accolades. Meh, his decision/loss I guess.
Transmissions UI is just as swell as what DW does (if not better because it's smaller) and all torrents are availble to it. Oh, and the price is a little more 'reasonable'.
oink has Xtorrent banned because the people who run it think the app is a "piece of feces". That is a direct quote.

...just kidding
I've emailed David a couple of times as well. Nothing. I was really polite as well (having seen comments on forums etc, I did all I could to ensure I got a response). That's BS. I understand that it's not easy being a one man show and doing all your support yourself, but if someone's paid for your app you have to make some kind of effort.
I won't ever buy one of his apps again. I don't think anything he's done that's used open source code has continued the open source spirit either... it's certainly not about ripping code so you can bash out an app quickly to make a few bucks, then move on to the next bit of code you can steal (all without crediting the sources).
Very shiity. I imagine his attitude is really starting to cost him customers.
Everyone is right. I'll never buy anything from watanabe ever again after seeing the way he treats customers.
And yes i believe its pretty low for him to talk about adding new features without even mentioning that he didn't do any of them. He is willing to use open source code but he is not willing to even acknowledge it. As a developer who has done open source stuff i find that to be despicable
I refuse to pay for the right to steal music. Curses on the uTorrent news.
Xtorrent is a nice application but I will never purchase another one of this guys application. I bought Acquisition back when he first started adding torrent support to it and was hinting at adding even more features which never happened. I am also a NewsFire owner who has contacted him multiple times regarding various bugs and issues without ever getting a single reply. From what I have heard from some other NewsFire users also getting nowhere with him I am almost willing to say that he has probably completely abandoned the project.
