Rumor: iTunes UK to promote Channel 4 video content
Following up to this morning's post, a blue and green birdie has chirped some interesting news into our ears: Could the Channel 4's video-on-demand service soon make a bow at the iTunes UK store? Currently a Windows-only offering, an iTunes-based 4OD service may soon launch with an initial 180 hours of programming. If so, this is fantastic news for UK Mac users who can not otherwise use the service.

i am fan of itunes & apple products. I believe that this channel would also do some innovative things like there products..
Also wondering when iphone & this channel would be coming to New Delhi (India).

Does this mean we Americans could change our iTunes Store location to UK and download the cool British TV shows we don't get here? If so, AWESOME.

Some of us UK Mac users have corresponded with Channel 4 and the industry regulator, OFCOM, about being locked out of 4OD. There was some suggestion at the time, albeit somewhat muted, that if iTunes started to make TV programmes available in the UK, Channel 4 would consider it. Hopefully such a move would encourage the BBC to make their content available too.

Provided they keep that model, I'm all for it, and it'll have the bonus that it'll work on Windows too (so I can uninstall the Kontiki rubbish).
This could be great (Channel 4 comedy is the best in the world) - I think 4oD only offers free content for a short period after the original airdate (during which time its repeated on its various freeview sibling networks anyway) and then its payed for (99p per episode I think is the norm) - it would make sense for iTunes to adopt a similar model.
