iWood cases for iPhone now shipping

Remember those iWood cases for iPhone we found the weekend of the device's launch? They may have just missed their original July shipping date, but the iWood for iPhone is now ready for its close-up. Available in Beech, Oak, Padouk, Cherry, and Walnut, these look like well-designed cases that fit an iPhone like a glove. Prices do indeed start at €60 (about $82.10 USD), but that's only for the Beech; all other cases are €70 (about $95 USD). A monogram or message engraved on the back is an extra €10 (about $13.60 USD), with a matching dock case for €20 ($27 USD) and protective screen for €10. Wordwide shipping is available via priority mail and FedEx.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in

This may be obvious to someone else, but not me: how do you get these cases around the iphone? Is the wood somehow flexible or is it come in two pieces?

Its a pity they are not making them out of rare and extinct woods like the iPod ones:

#1: I'm not sure, but judging from the images of the back of the cases, it looks like they come in two separate pieces that fit with the design of the iPhone's current backing. If so, the two separate pieces are probably just slid on from either end.

#3: Based on some email correspondence, there will be a few additional options in a week or so. Hopefully they'll extend the 'Heritage' line to the iPhone. Keep in mind however, that the Heritage line for iPods start at 175 Euros(!)

That looks really good, because the case doesn't extend above the screen. I have the leather case by case-mate, and it's nice, but there's a little lip around the screen that makes it harder to push buttons on the edges of the screen.

Sexy but the wood volume buttons and standby buttons they need to use to control the iPhone look like they would not work very well.
And has anybody else noticed how much they look like something you'd get in a head shop?

The two pieces are held in place with two small magnets. The case looks really good on the iphone the only drawback is that the power button on the top now requires a little more effort when powering down.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT.
Miniot sent me a badly made excuse for a case, the product was damaged out of the box, i ordered a logo- they got the placement and size of it wrong, the power button did not line up right and ended up dinging my phone, furthermore there are metal rods inthe back which they shoddily cover and of you don't look to make sure they will scratch the back of your phone.
Miniot is a horrible company which refused to take responsibility for the damage there crappy case did to my phone, and refused to try and send me a working one....my suspicion is that all of them are slightly messed- they even admitted to me that the tolerances are still changing.....
GREAT PRODUCT IN THEORY, BUT FAR LESS THAN PERFECT.
IF YOU LIKE GREEN THINGS, DONATE THE $175 TO A CAUSE THAT PROTECTS TREES, AND DOESNT DESTROY THEM TO MAKE A PRODUCT THAT IS A SLIGHT STEP ABOVE FIREWOOD.

Here's a link to a bunch of reviews of this case, by people that ordered the case. Quite a few pictures as well. It seems like thomas' experience doesn't match the experiences posted here.
