Control iTunes from your Dock

Actually, it would be awesome to control iTunes using Speakable Items! Has anyone done that yet? Then, you could make two recordings in Garageband that said "next track" and "previous track," import them into iTunes, and iTunes could control itself! Trippy!

While it's nice to have some diversity, I think the Synergy line does this kind of control a little better. I don't think it's worth using an entire dock icon for a single control. Maybe if they offered a way to split a dock icon four ways or three ways into a triangle, then that would be OK.

Actually Mike, iTunes is already speakable! Just turn on speech and you can use "next/previous song" and "play" whenever you're in the iTunes window!
Hey what a small world, I just had 3000 plus of my CDs ripped by www.ripstyles.com and they rock! Thanks for bringing me into the digital music world, love this application!

Fully customisable keyboard shortcuts and it also puts a back - play/pause - fwd set of buttons in the menubar for you. Well worth the $9 (I know there are freebies out there, but this does the trick perfectly)
My dock is already cluttered enough, unfortunately...
SpeakableItems can do this aleady fir itunes up and try it.
But prepare to start it via voice and do the rest manualy eccept u have a headset^^
Personally I love the keyboard short cuttery of Sizzling Keys, great app and works its way into how you work.

Speaking of speakable items (haha!) I just had the same thought the other day, of how cool it would be to say "next track" and have iTunes change it. I haven't looked into it, but wouldn't the sound interfere with the microphone?
