I think it's weird the stock took such a dive. They delivered on so much of what the rumors said.
Maybe it's just that the price drop in the iPhones throws off all the analysts 'models' ??

"While Jobs said that Apple remains on target to meet it goal of selling at least 1 million iPhones by the end of September, one analyst said that investors were likely interpreting the sharp price cut as a sign that demand for the iPhone is weak."
The stock market is a very peculiar thing. Investors do not necessarily see things in the same way as consumers do.

The numbers thrown around for iPhones so far lead one to believe that demand is in line with expectations. I was surprised at the sizeable price drop.
You're right, the stock market can't be expected to react in the way consumers do. I still have to wonder, what was it they (the Street) were expecting that didn't get delivered? Or - is this run up to Apple events followed by a drop off just the pattern now?

I too can never can get Apple's Quicktime streams of their keynotes to work. So watch the September 2007 keyonte here:
