Among all the updates to the iPod lineup today, this one might have gotten lost in the... well, I'm not gonna say it, but you know what I mean. It would seem that January's iPod Shuffle color choices were so nine months ago; the new Shuffles are stumbling in with a somewhat more subdued, 'pro' palette and adding a Product (RED) version that sends a contribution to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa.
The new Shuffles are retailing for $79 and include 1 GB of flash storage. Get them before they change again!

Yuck. Those new colours are quite the eyesores - even though they're pastel. The red one is nice but man, sure hope there are orange ones around somewhere.

Two thumbs down on the colours - I even like pastels sometimes, but the wishy washy lavender and aqua do scream late 80s/early 90s! And the green and blue are so similar, I wonder what the point of having both is? As a fan of pinks and purples, I don't think I could live with the too-blue-lavender. Where are the warm colours?!?!
Sure the red is pretty nice but even it seems to lack a certain punch. Ditto for the nanos, I'd loved to have tried one out but I am really unimpressed with the pallet (and I am unashamedly severely influenced by the colour of my gadgets).
