TUAW Tip: easy TUAW login bookmarklet
A lot of folks write in complaining about the login system for commenting here on TUAW. While we completely sympathize (all the TUAW contributors have to login the same way to leave comments) in this day and age of comment spam it's an unfortunate necessity. That said, computers are supposed to make things easier, right? Well in a comment to a recent post Kalessin pointed us to a super handy bookmarklet from Alex Coles that will automatically fill in your TUAW credentials for posting comments. Of course you'll have to edit the bookmarklet with your own email and password, but I've tested it and it works great in Safari and Camino. So if your browser just won't save your personal info for whatever reason, just stick this bookmarklet in your bookmarks bar, edit the credentials, and your TUAW login is always only a click away. Obviously, the same idea can be extended to other sites, as well. Thanks Alex for this great timesaver!

For some odd reason, my profile says "No Profile Found". :(
The last comment that I had posted was back in February! This is way too difficult to change your password.

I found an old comment (not easy to do, as there seems to be no way to look for a user other than to click on his name under a comment -- fortunately I'd kept a file of a long comment I made, with the url to where it was posted), clicked on my name, then clicked the "Are you HandyMac? If So, Login Here." link. And nothing happened. Some kind of JavaScript trick that doesn't work with Safari? So I switched to Camino and tried it, and a password blank appeared, I entered the old password, logged in and changed it to a new one I can remember.
So it worked, outside of this being yet another Mac-focused site that doesn't work properly with Safari. Thanks much.
@ 19 Eric F.
Thanks, it's working now.
Does any one have an idea about general principals for applying this to other web pages? This would be useful for a variety of different pages.

@18/JAmes bookmark any page, go to edit that bookmark, rename it TUAW or something, and paste that javascript link provided as the address.
then edit the javascript link by replacing the "your email/password" with your personal info.
Beacause I'm a geek, but still an idiot, I could not figure out how to get the b'm'let to work, so I will do as I have always done. I have a sticky in dashboard that holds the tuaw password and i just copy and paste.
