Whitehall, Pa. Apple Store set to open
Pennsylvania's fifth Apple Store will open in Whitehall this Saturday, September 29th at 10:00 AM. The store is located at 946 Lehigh Lifestyle Center in Whitehall, near J.Crew and Cucina Italiana. You can get full travel directions here.Pennsylvania's other stores are in Ardmore, King of Prussia and Pittsburgh (they've got two).
As usual, we're asking any TUAW operatives who visit this weekend to send us stories and photos. Good luck, have fun and we're hoping you score a T-shirt!

About f'n time they opened another Pennsylvania store. That one that's five miles from King of Prussia was a real stroke of genius. How about sending some to the rest of the state? Lancaster County has half a million people alone. I'm pretty sure it's time to start moving away from Philly and Pittsburgh.

So I move out of the area and they finally open one in the Lehigh Valley. I use to have to drive down to King of Prussia. Which stinks driving from the Valley.

@ Chris Coleman...
I live 5 miles west of Lancaster City proper, and I've been complaining about this for quite awhile.
From the center of the Harrisburg/York/Lancaster/Reading quadrangle it's about 68 miles to the King of Prussia store outside of Philly, and about 220 miles to Pittsburgh. Now, from the center of this region, it's 74 miles to the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall.
There's the Capitol, a whole bunch of college campuses—including a few art schools—printing companies out the bazoo, ad agencies, law firms, and a real decent $$$$ base.
I argue that this area would better support an Apple Store than the Lehigh Valley will.
Hershey would be a good spot, methinks. LOTS of money flows through there.

I'm going to be headed past there on my way to a concert in Philly on Saturday, so I'll definitely try to convince my Mac-hating friends to make a stop there so I can get some pics and a free t-shirt...

there are a bunch of colleges here in philly along with a huge mac base. god forbid they build a mac store IN THE CITY. getting to KofP is a royal pain as well as Suburban Square. pittsburgh has 2 and yet we don't even have one? thats just wrong.

My wife and I were actually planning on heading up that direction for some shopping anyway (about a hour away for us). And I think I've convinced her to stop over at the new store to see if we can't get a couple T-Shirts. :-) I'll definitely take some pictures.

Yep...I agree with yatsey and Rich Anderson.
I find it hard to believe there isn't a store right in Center City somewhere.

Those of you planning on going...what kind of crowd do you expect? If I want to be one of the first 1000 in, should I plan on being there at the crack of dawn? Or an hour before opening? Just curious what you folks think. :-)
