The Leopard countdown begins

Apple has updated their homepage to display a countdown until Leopard day. You'll recall that Apple has done this for the last few versions of OS X. The real question is, did you pre-order Leopard yet? Sound off in the comments! As soon as I finish writing this, I'll be ordering my copy.

Yes, I've managed to pre-order, screw up the shipping addresses zip code (I never ship anything to work), and call Apple to get that changed already. It was the morning's excitement.
I was debating about just going down to the store in Tyson's Corner on the 26th but I imagine that is going to be a madhouse. I'll let UPS do the work for me :).

I am interested in upgrading but to be honest I don't know if it's worth it on my iBook G4 - what do the rest of you think?

Apple's UK store has preorders available with free shipping — 3-7 business days for delivery. And no option to pay for a faster method.
No thanks. Think I'll go to the Apple Store in Southampton instead...

Preordered Family Pack. I'm glad it's finally here. It will look great on my new Alum. iMac. :)

I managed to resist for about 20 minutes...
#5: It says 3-7 business days, but it'll probably arrive before that. I'm betting Saturday morning.

The feature page now confirms that iPhone notes will sync with Leopard!
"Your notes folder acts like an email mailbox, so you can retrieve notes from any Mac or PC or access them from your iPhone."

I was convinced not to update to Leopard any time soon, since no feature (except maybe Spotlight over Network) is of particular interest for me.
Preordered anyway, since a few of my developer and Apple employed friends told me quite a few of the perks I'll keep whining about are gone...
I'll give it a try on one of my minis, but the iBook and MBPs will stay on Tiger for a while...

Hmm, so if I "pre-order" will I run into similar shenanigans as with the iPod touch preorder?

"[D]id you pre-order Leopard yet?"
Pre-order? But why? It'll be a snap for fanboys to find Leopard the same time they're scouring torrent trackers for their favorite NBC programs.

So I just read over the whole Leopard page on the Apple website but there is no mention what so ever about Bluetooth.
How do we know for sure that Leopard has A2DP? A Google search only returns people complaining about it and some that say it should be in Leopard but no hard proof.
Anyone have any incite for me?
Thanks!!!

In a similar vein as #12, I'm wondering if Leopard will mean ODF support for iWork. I imagine that if TextEdit can handle it as the 300+ new features page says, then iWork should pick it up. That would probably result in me ditching Neooffice for iWork.

Do you think you can get Leopard on a new mac on the 26th too? I want to buy my new iMac before Oct 30th so that I can take advantage of the iPod deal but I want to make sure I get Leopard....even if that means it comes with tiger pre-installed with a free Leopard disc

I’m in. I’m anxious to see when this actually delivers, since the receipt says:
“Ships by: DELIVERS ON OCTOBER 26TH.” [six]
I’m crossin’ my fingers for the part they put in caps.
Wheeeeeeee.......! New toys!

Ah, Apple's finally got some interesting news that allows you to throw a bone to all the "you post too many iPhone stories".
Now that we've heard Leopard is out, can we get back to the much more interesting articles about hacking the iPhone/iPod devices? LOL.

While I will be pre ordering today, I PROMISE MYSELF that I will wait a MINIMUM of 15 days before I actually install it. That should be enough time for the masses (and TUAW) to shake out installation nightmares, installation issues and installation bugs.......so,"I Promise" !

Just preordered it as well. wonderfully cool birthday present for my 30 years.. Unfortunately TimeMachine only works in the computer, I would have liked for it to work in real life! So, for my 30th, I could have spent some time back in the days :-)
Anyway... Really excited about the whole day it will take for me to do a clean install. I'll enjoy every moment of it :-)
