I love this. From my old hometown of Maryland Heights, MO (although Google says there is no Mac Store in town there-- maybe it's that old computer store that used to be on Dorsett just east of 270), it's the Mac II couch, made completely out of old Macintosh IIs held together with drywall screws. I can't imagine that it would actually be comfortable (although it's probably as comfy as any park bench), but I do like how there is actually a little bit of design to it-- instead of just building a solid block, those armrests and that base look great.
See, that's the problem with today's computers. Sure, MacBook Pros are super thin, and iPhones are slim little devices that have many times over the power of the old Mac II, but can you build a couch out of them? I think not!

And, you can plug in a few units to make it a heated couch!
How cool is that? (or hot)

It's gone now, sadly. The store has been gone for a few years.

Wow, I thought it was a CompUSA there. Now it's a Gold's Gym. Another St. Louisan saying hello.

I work a few miles from where that store was. Like others are saying, it has been gone for a while. We just got 15 Mac Pros yesterday to replace our G5s. I might suggest a G5 loveseat to my boss.

I bought my first mac (at least one I paid for myself) from that store. A G3 Blue & White (400) with a '17 cinema display. I used to go there about 2 or 3 times a week to just "look" . . . I remember not being able to wait until Rhapsody / OS X came out. Exciting times!
My buddy worked there for a few years. Its what got me coming back to the mac after about a 5 year hiatus in the mid-90s.

It's not there anymore because it moved. They're now on Manchester near Southwest in the city. And they're called the Mac Headquarters. I used to like going in there in the 90s because it was the only decent place to see new macs.

You can't build a couch out of iPhones, but you could make a vest. Ask Scott Bourne. http://www.scottbournefacts.com/index.php?paged=5
