Apple Stores to give away Leopard T-shirts
On their standard Retail page, Apple has announced its retail stores will be open from 6:00pm to 10:00pm this Friday (an extra hour for many stores) to celebrate the "Leopard World Premiere." There will be "live demos" and the chance to "test drive" Leopard, presumably on the in-store systems. Best of all, Apple is giving away "a special edition Leopard T-shirt" to the first 500 "guests." So how many of you are planning to be in line to snag one of those shirts?

It will be occuring in Australia also. (Black for customers) Grey for staff. Customer shirts look good compared with the boring staff ones.

In all honesty do you think I have to get there early for this? I am going to a mall store in Grand Rapids, MI... I really can't see there being a 'huge' line for these... but you never know.

my local apple store is about six miles from my house, and i don't have any classes that afternoon... so im planning on getting there around 5:30. im going to buy leopard through my schools bookstore.

Free XXXXL shirts from computer companies don't fit me, so no. Also, I don't eat cheetos/drink mountain dew.

Maybe if there was an apple store in my town I would, but instead i'll wait by the door for the fed-ex guy to deliver my pre-ordered copy. :-)

Is that even a valid question for anyone who is reading and or commenting on TUAW. I took the day off of work just so I could get my hands on one of those shirts. I'll be checking in with my local apple store ( in San Antonio) to see if a line starts. My daughter (18 months old) will probably be in a Leopard costume if I can find one before then.

I agree with #6. Why don't they make various sizes available. The Briarwood store opening shirt I got was a freakin' tent!

I'll be going! I don't really feel like standing in line for hours, though...especially for a shirt I know is going to be too big for me. But I'll be there nonetheless. I'm trying to get a few coworkers to go along, too. :-)

i'll nab one, though i'd rather see another scratch-off ticket giveaway like they did with tiger. i won an ipod shuffle that night. sadly i was directly behind the guy who won the powerbook - if only we hadn't stopped at ethel m's.......

I'l be there Pasadena CA!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if I'll get Leopard though- I may get it through USC if they're selling is for less than $100.
Oh and note lacomputerco.com (they're reliable) is selling Leopard for $100 - may get it from there too if I can get it friday. I need leopard.
