And if you don't trust reviews for other systems (probably a good idea), worry not-- we're told a demo is imminent, so you'll be able to try the game out for yourself. Find out more about the game itself over on the minisite. Apparently the game features more than 30 cars, 300 tracks in nine locations around the globe, and realistic physics and handling. Throw in a few muddy curves, and you've got a recipe for a fun Saturday night.
On a sad note, the release was actually set for earlier this year, but was delayed due to the accidental death of the series' namesake. Very sorry to hear it-- fortunately, the legendary racer's legacy lives on in his memory and phenomenal racing career history.

This is probrably the best Rally Game there is to date. I have it for 360 (DIRT) and still have and play 2005 for the PC, great game a true racing classic. R.I.P CM!

Wonder if I'll be able to use my Logitech Momo Wheel with this. So far I've only been able to use it on PC games while on Boot Camp.
R.I.P. Collin. One of Rally Racing's best of all times.

I am SO excited for this game :-)
I loved in on my original XBOX but could no longer play due to a mod chip install gone bad :-(
Colin was an amazing racer and his death was very sad, hopefully through this game more people will be exposed to rally through his namesake.

So, I take it a Macbook meets the min specs judging from the site. Is it playable/worth it on such a configuration? I usually resort to my Wii for playing games these days but might be tempted for a good driving game.

Yeeeeeehaaa!!!! I am so giddy right now since reading this. Finally, something worthwhile for Mac. The last decent racing game was Total Immersion Racing, but there were no Intel release for that. Now my Momo wheel can stop collecting dust and get back to making me sweat.
Thanks, Feral. You made my year.

Be careful, this looks like refreshed version of CMR 2005, not Dirt :(

Fraggle you are far too right. And yes, Sikkor, I believe this is a port of 2005, not DiRT.

I have just bought this game after playing the demo and it runs very well on my G5 2.5 Dual. But, be aware that according to the box and the manual the game does not support GMA950 graphics cards with shared RAM, so it looks like MacBooks are unable to enjoy this great game.

This demo runs so much more trouble-free than Tiger Woods 08, even in Leopard. But where/when is it available?

1.42Ghz eMac with 1GB RAM, Radeon 9600Pro 64MB Video on 10.4.10. Great game and runs smooth as silk despite being a little slower on the CPU than recommended. With all the graphics options (anti-aliasing) and resolution on at the highest settings. I bought it for my son (who loves it) but I've played it a bit myself.
