iDVD, iLife Support updates

Fire up Software Update, folks, Apple is setting some updates free. iDVD 6.0.4 is now in the wild, and it 'improves overall stability and supports compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5.'
iLife Support 8.1.1 has also been released which, 'improves overall stability, addresses a number of other minor issues, and supports general compatibility issues.'
Apple hasn't posted these on their site for download yet.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

Now if Apple could just see their way to releasing the update to stop my brand new iMac freezing ALL THE TIME... seriously, I live in fear and save OFTEN.

I'm still waiting for Apple to release and update supporting the Canon 40d. I hope once the leopard craze settles down they'll release something

#4 -- If your imac is freezing all the time, make sure it is NOT a hardware problem. If it is you should send it in for repairs. One of the easist ways to check for hardware problems is to boot off the install disk and and hold down D. Then do diagnostics. If that does not show a problem, there still MAY be a problem. Next boot off the install disk and hold down the C key. Run various programs like Disk Utility etc. If it freezes (like my iMac did), then it is CLEARLY a hardware problem in Apple's view. Send it back. Many of the new iMac are defective. The Quality Control of the new iMacs is poor in my view given all the reports of freezing etc.

@Rob & Jamie
The Price of Manufacturing is so cheap nowadays that in some cases Quality Control could be the most expensive part of the process.
It's not surprising that Manufacturers forgo QC to save a few dollars per unit. That a Company like Apple Inc have products with lacklustre QC is a but of a worry.

At iMac freezes, if you haven't heard yet, it's a video card issue. The initial drivers for the Radeon 2600 HD were bad, apple is working on some new drivers for it. Just be patient it'll come, there's nothing that a hardware repair could do to fix your freezing issue. It's not the hardware, it's the drivers. So stop telling people to go back to apple with it, apple will come to you, eventually. Stop bothering the MacGeniis and get on Apple support and share your frustration with someone who can send it up the chain.

If the Mac freezes it could be the external harddrives. I used a Maxtor Harddrive - (altogether 4) and they freeze my Mac. As each of them fails, I replaced them with Buffalo drives. I also use the Lacie drive. They all work fine with my Mac. The Maxtor drives is giving my G5 real problem. If I move them to the Apple Extreme Wireless Hub (supports network disk) it works.
Check your external harddrive if you use them.
