iTunes 7.5 and QuickTime 7.3

Fire up Software Update, gentle TUAW readers, because a new version of iTunes and QuickTime awaits.
iTunes 7.5 adds the ability to activate an iPhone where ever it is available, and support for Phase which is a new iPod game. The usual bug fixes are also in there.
QuickTime 7.3 brings support for iTunes 7.5 (shocking) as well as an updates the export option for iPhone web content and fixes numerous bugs and security updates.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

Why do I need to install iTunes to patch bugs in Quicktime?
If MS did something this arrogant, there would be a lawsuit!!
Hi I just upgraded and realized my frontrow remote has stopped working with Quicktime. The remote works with VLC, iTunes etc but not QT. Forget about scanning forward or backward it cant even adjust the volume. I never had the problem before. I have tried playing both avi and mp4 files.
I run Tiger and have a macbook
Also can I downgrade?
Quicktime 7.3 update breaks the anamorphic widescreen support! All of my DVD rips now play either super-stretched or super-squished when they worked fine in previous version. This is posted in apple support discussion forum.
Doesn't work. What a GD POS. When itunes gets to "itunes automation" it pukes and tells me I'm missing a file to run itunes. I thought I was installing, how can I be missing a file? GD I hate Apple. I hate Apple. I hate Apple.
Good luck with itunes working after you install these POS updates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ran this update and macbook pro kernel panicked and now my airport says "no Airport card installed" err

Ever since these two updates, both Safari and Firefox has been crashing rather frequently while Yahoo Mail Beta is open in either of the two browsers. Not sure if this is just a coincidence...

November 06 2007 at 10:57 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI noticed this morning that AAC VBR actually... VBR's. At least, the iTunes display reflects it (I'm getting bitrates like 209kbps, 198kbps, etc., for AAC). It surprised me, and makes me wonder if the VBR option for AAC was broken all this time.

"I really wish Apple would go with a modular components system for iTunes. I've never used the store, iPhone stuff, or video management, and I'd love to be able to uninstall those components and really just have SoundJam, because podcasts are OK and all, but nothing really that special anyway. Can I have SJ 2.0 back please?"
Have you ever looked at iTunes' preferences? Start with the "General" pane.
