iChat Matte eliminates glossy iChat bubbles
Here's a nice piece of freeware. Now that Aqua's shiny buttons are all but history, the glossy balloons in iChat really stand out. If you would prefer something more subtle, check out iChat Matte. It replaces those eyesores with flat, matte bubbles that are more pleasant to look at. Version 2.0 is compatible with Leopard (there is a Tiger version as well), accepts custom colors and includes an uninstaller. iChat Matte is free. Now, if only I could do the same thing with SMS on the iPhone....

What's that shit with forward delete ?!?!
Desktops have the delete key and laptops, in order to save keys and leave more room for less key...they have bigger keys!! Even some sub-notebook makers learned that. And Fn-Backspace works...always.
I've adapted these bubbles to use for the iPhone.

Leopard added MORE glossy. Where do you get that there's LESS glossy? Even in graphite mode the buttons on my windows are still painstakingly glossy.

They are? Not on my Leopard :/

Going off on a tangent now... Goddamn, what is up with the last few versions of Customize!? rSBT has been seriously gimped in terms of not being able to organize the second page of SpringBoard, not being able to hide, and now I find out that I'm limited to four icons in my Dock because of a careless mistake. >:( I realize the guy is getting around to re-writing his code, but I'm really not a fan of little incremental releases like he has been doing.
Okay, done :)
You actually can do the same thing with your iPhone using the Customize.app. I created custom non-bubble SMS replacements very simply and uploaded them to my phone via SSH.
