What's even better is an association with a not-for-profit and educational foundation & their discount. Reduced prices better than Black Friday, and the killer: NO TAX. Picked up a top-of-the-line white MacBook (the new one) for $1195 for work-from-home use, no tax, which would've added to the bottom line.

Crap, I forgot to save the PDF from amazon or wherever (i ordered from amazon) for the Microsoft Office 2004 rebate, and now they don't list the .pdf anywhere. I don't want office 2008 for $125 + $10, I want it for $25 + $10!

November 25 2007 at 9:42 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI picked up Office:Mac at Staples. They price matched their own website which was $20 cheaper. So, I got Office 2004 for $129 ($140 with tax, argh to Chicago!). Not bad to get the next version of Office for only $47! Let's just hope the rebate system works for me this time.
November 24 2007 at 5:53 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI picked up a $1299 Macbook for $1113 from my local Apple store. I stacked the discounts online and then said, meh, if I can do it online....I can do it in store. So I did so and just picked it up last night. I'm pretty happy so far.

Meh is right. I can get an education discount whenever I want. I think Macs would be a lot cooler if they were cheaper. :(
Pulled the trigger on the Office 2004 deal. Good stuff.

Click on the "Let the holidays begin" banner below the iMac and MacBook. You can save up to $111.00 CDN on the MacBook and the iMac. Still makes the MacBook $150 more that the US price even though our currencies are near par.
