Apple marks 30th November as worldwide Black Friday
Those looking to save on Apple gear post-Thanksgiving, but not living in the U.S. to take advantage of 'Black Friday' take note: Apple's worldwide stores are running 'Black Friday' promotions on Friday November 30th, both online and in Apple Retail Stores.Whilst the discounts are typically not huge (and exclude the iPhone, iPod touch, MacBookPro and Mac Pro), if you've got your eye on something from Apple this Christmas, you may want to see what the discounts are like this Friday.

Ipod Touch and iPhone accessories are included, though. I got a great deal on an Incase protective cover and Power Support Crystal Film Set at half price.

As a guy living in Mexico I am very pissed off at Apple right now, because they bumped the prices right after they opened the new Online Store in Mexico. They went from 13,999 MXP for a Basic MacBook to 14,499 (about 50 USD increase), and in general they bumped all product´s prices accordingly.

Apple already had the sale for Canada on the same day as the U.S. It was the same last year too. Last year I bought my first Mac (MacBook), and this year I saved on the Airport Extreme.

So it's going to be the same as the US Black Friday right? No new deals?

Looking back on it, the day after Thanksgiving, the Apple store at Portland's downtown Pioneer Place mall was the busiest I saw a retail outlet during the entire holiday shopping season. Consumer confidence is way down heading into 2008, and for good reason given the leading indicators.
