Well received, not well reviewed. Well reviewed would indicate that the reviews written about it were high quality, not the game.

Hopefully the increased stability means it won't suddenly close while simultaneously corrupting each and every saved game file. That gets old fast, and I've got a lost weekend in my past (my automated system backup was done just prior to playing, natch). If not, at least Time Machine with its background real-time backups will keep me from losing too much.

I think releases is better than drops. Drops often makes me think they decided not to release.

This makes me want to play Might & Magic III. Too bad it's not available for MacOS X. Guess I'll have to break out Sheepshaver instead.

I recall Heroes of Might & Magic II (III?) being very fun. Briefly. It crashed so much that I threw it out in frustration. It's nice to see it back on the Mac for OS X, but this 'stability update' just makes me want to keep avoiding it.

Have to agree w/ brent07. When I read the headline, I thought this was going to be a bashing piece because they dropped support for Macs. I understand the desire to use the word "drops," but in this context I have to quote my friend Indigo, "I don't think it means what you think it means..."
Cheers,
