Hello There
Hello TUAW readers, my name is Cory Bohon. I'm the newest TUAW blogger and very excited to be blogging for one of the best Apple blogs anywhere.I started blogging in 2004 at the "young" age of 15 (I am now 18). 2004 was a big year for me, since that is when I got my first Mac as well. I started learning AppleScript soon after - it was fascinating to me, and still is.
I look forward to blogging here. I hope this will be a fun journey for us all.

I would love to see more about AppleScript. It is powerful but confusing. Some great stuff can be done in a few lines, but then some simple stuff can be tricky.
When I was 13...
IBM invented the floppy. It was 8", and held 80K.
Intel did not exist.
HTML was not invented.
ARPAnet was being thought of, but the Internet did not exist.
I started with a Sinclair (later Timex) with 2K RAM, 762 bytes of usable RAM, and integer BASIC. It used a Z80 and it did everything with it, including the video.
Later I got a Commodore, with 64K RAM and a 6502 processor.
My first Mac was a Mac IIfx, 40MHz, 8Megs RAM, 80MB drive, System 6. It booted faster than today's Macs: Not that much to load.
Damn it, we need more mature writers TUAW...not 18 year old kids who don't even go to college (or at least act like they do, Erica).
Cory runs a "web design" company...although he's using a theme on his Microtec Design website.
Not only that, but how much "real" business sense can a teenage who is barely in high school have? Try running your own business when you have to pay a mortgage, student loans, bills for the family, etc... Fricking loser.

Yeah, I'm feeling a little old here too. I got my fist Mac when I was 37! Of course, that was last year... but still.
I'm glad Cory linked to "Dockables"--when I first saw that I thought I had no use for it and forgot about it. Now I am trying out "Classic Menu" (I think that's what it's called) which replaces the Apple menu with hierarchical folders. Now throwing these Dockables into a Stack suddenly looks like it might be very compelling.
Finally, someone to sit at Sadun's right hand at the Algonquian Round Table that is TUAW.
