Liven up Address Book with Avatars
It's simple, useful and has the right amount of eye candy to be visually interesting without being intrusive. Now I just need more friends with avatars.

Alternate way to fill up your Address Book with pictures: Adium can hook up with Address Book and add your IM buddies' pictures to their respective entries.

That's really cool. Hopefully now that Automattic acquired Gravatar, more people will catch on and get those Gravatars :)

Okay, evidently I'm the only one who can't figure this out. I just downloaded Avatars 1.2 and I can't figure out how to use it. According to the project site, I just select Card > Download Custom Image, but I don't see any such option when I click on a name in my address book.
I installed using the installer package that I downloaded from MacUpdate. Anyone have any idea what I'm not doing right?
Thanks.

Speaking of Gravatars. I'm going to use this as an opportunity to see if mine works.

This is neat. I'd really like to see these two features:
1) do what Adium does and grab the AIM avatars
2) detect Gmail addresses and grab those avatars

I don't know enough web–savvy people, apparently.
