MacHeist bundle now on sale, includes CoverSutra
If you've got $50 burning a hole in your Paypal account, maybe some software purchasing is just the thing to quench that flame. As of midnight Tuesday, the Macheist 2 bundle is available for purchase. Although there may be some additional announcements along the way (as there were with the MacUpdate bundle), the apps bundled at the start of sales include:- ChaChing (site)
- 1Password (site)
- Awaken 4.5 (site)
- iStopMotion (site)
- CoverSutra (site)
- TaskPaper (site)
- AppZapper (site)
- CSSedit (site), if target sales are reached
- Snapz Pro (site), if targets reached
- Pixelmator (site), as we noted earlier, if targets reached
Thanks to everyone who sent this in.

It appears the last three apps are locked and it's unclear how many bundles have to be sold before they become available.

For those who are confused about these locked apps, (as was I) here's a bit to ease your minds.
If you purchase the bundle, you are guaranteed the locked apps in the bundle once the bundle has sold enough. That means, you can buy it now and you'll still get Pixelmator when/if it is unlocked.
Best of all, you are only helping towards the next unlock by purchasing a bundle.
So if you think about it, you've got nothing to lose. Buy it right now and you'll still get the unlocked apps when they come out.

For some reason the "buy now" is greyed out for me...

We launched a few minutes late, but we are now live. Also, to note, we are including TaskPaper instead of Speed Download. Enjoy!

aaah, I am interested only in SpeedDownload :( For few moments I thought I am going to buy it... Please offer speeddownload ... pleaseeee

I want to clarify that my comment does not necessarily strike out SD from the sale, so for you SD fans, stay tuned...

So, that means Speed Download may be included if the sales are tremendously huge? Please please include it :)
CODA is not a bad idea either!!
Simon Arch said 1:07PM on 1-09-2008
@kirankonathala: Speed Download itself is only $25. If that's all you want from the bundle, just buy it and save $25.

Your comment on the Speed Downloader shows you are an awful crook. Is it or isn't it? Don't hint that it is just to get his money. If he has to jump over a fence to get it, say so.

Well... I was going to buy it with Speed Download, but now I am probably not going to do so. Sorry...

Okay, so maybe I'm slow and missed it in one of the posts... but I went ahead and bought the bundle only to realize after the fact that two of the applications require Leopard. I had not yet budgeted for that upgrade (hrm.. MacHeist2 $49 vs Leopard $149). Why does anybody create a bundle like this and not make that more obvious? It would have been nice to know that I now have to spend another $149 in order to use two of the applications. End of rant.

Less of a heist, compared to last year. Maybe a MacDeal.

I noticed TaskPaper is listed instead of Speed Download.
This is EXTREMELY disappointing, as TaskPaper is yet *another* to-do list application, we already have plenty of those, free and shareware, widgets and apps. Speed Download, on the other hand, is a valuable Application for the Mac.
This is disappointing. :(
BTW, TUAW might want to update the list in the blog post with that little important detail.

Just read Phil's comments... hmm, maybe in a heist? ;)
Still would be nice in the package, maybe as an 11th item.

I wish I didn't have to wait to find out if Pixelmator would ACTUALLY be included in the bundle.
I'd be all over this deal right now if it was :(

So, is the three grayed-out (locked) apps NOT in the Bundle? Unitl when?

The first locked app, CSSEdit will only be unlocked if at least 5,000 bundles are sold. No telling what the bundle thresholds are for Snapz or Pixelmator. Last year MacHeist sold 16,000 and thus unlocked Textmate and NewsFire.

I've been on the fence about Snapz Pro for a while and the $49 is much more attractive than the normal $79, so I'm in...once it's available.

Damn.. i should have read their site before buying it ..
I just saw the list on TUAW, jumped onto the site, hit buy, and everything was cool.. but then i found that the "10 Mac Apps for an insanley low price" are only 7 apps actualy ^_^
I bought it for CoverSutra, CSSEdit, ChaChing and Pixelmator ..
Well.. CoverSutra is cool, but no CSSEdit and no Pixelmator, plus the fact that i have to wait on ChaChing license -.-
Not quite the fun i expected. If i buy 10, i want 10.
Only 300 purchases till now.. i hope we get 5000 sales
