A reader tipped us off to this very cool new interface for Quicksilver called Showcase from Julius Eckert. It's basically pure eye-candy, but what eye-candy it is! Taking its cue from Cover Flow it leverages Leopards Core Animation technologies to, er, showcase Leopard's graphical goodness. While I'm not entirely sure it's practical in the long run, Showcase is definitely a fun addition to Quicksilver in Leopard.
Thanks panpot!

I've installed the plugin but Quicksilver's interface still looks the same as before. It shows up as installed in QS's Plugins list, and its box is checked. Any suggestions?

Trevor, you have to select it as the Command Interface in 'Appearance'.

Thanks! For some reason it wasn't appearing in that dropdown even after several restarts. It just showed up after the last restart.

Never understood what Quicksilver was for, because if I want to launch and app that's not in my dock then I will use Spotlight which in Leopard is fast too.

QS is much, much more than just an application launcher.

Quicksilver isn't just an application launcher anymore. It's like something between a CLI and a GUI. You can do scripts and things. For instance, a script I use a lot lets me set my Adium status without even touching my mouse.

A bit too square-ish for me.
Get rid of the silver part and make it all black-transparent-HUD-window-like plz.

Wow I was expecting something like this for years! Finally a really slick interface for QS.

Really nice looking, but crashes whenever you type in a contacts name, then a comma, then another contact it immediately crashes. Shame, that's good for e-mailing multiple people. Would love to see it fixed.
Crash happens on aluminium iMac and MacBook, so quite possibly everywhere.

Very slick. Nothing wrong with a bit of eye candy :)
Works fine for me, no problems.

I like the look and feel, but it doesn't handle text mode... well... at all!
If somehow the coverflow effect could be made to chill out when the period was pressed I would have joy.

found on autors website http://www.jeckert.net.tc
"I started coding an interface, because a friend showed me a mockup of an interface with CovertFlow (you can find it on the blacktree-forums, which are down at the moment). So I will NOT STOP working on this project until I have a CoverFlow-like navigation working on Quicksilver."
U can find this mockup right here ->

Had to go back to different interface. It seems to have problems with commas as Alex P. mentioned.
In my cause I was just pressing comma to select multiple files and it causes Quicksilver to seg fault every time.

This is great; I may just post this on my own little blog later on. Showcase looks great and anything that makes for a better QuickSilver is fantastic news.
