iTransmogrify brings more flash content to the iPhone
iTransmogrify is a bookmarklet for iPhone Safari which will allow you to view certain Flash content by, well, transmogrifying it. Actually, what it does is just replace the embedded flash player with a link to natively supported formats (i.e. QuickTime formats). So if you're looking at a page with an embedded Youtube video in Safari you can use the bookmarklet to view the video if Youtube has already converted it behind the scenes. It will also allow you to listen to embedded Flash MP3 content in the same way.
You can get the iTransmogrify bookmarklet from joemaller.com and the source is available on a Google code page.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

If I'm understanding this correctly,
I can use this bookmarklet to listen to the mp3 in the embedded flash music players on MySpace?
If this is so,
my iPhone and I may just have to dance with joy.

I recently had a conversation with a friend working for Adobe who mentioned they were working on some iPhone apps ... I said, "really, you have an early SDK?" They said, "No." I said, "Oh, how can you develop iPhone apps without the SDK?" The answer (drumroll please) .... Flash. "Oh?" I say, "But the iPhone doesn't support Flash, and from what I've read, it would be in Apple's best interest to make a stand against Flash on the mobile front."
Wrong, I'm told. Apple intends to add Flash support, has been working hard to make it happen and ... in fact ... has it ready. The difficulties surrounded Flash's use of screen controls conflicting with the iPhone's touch interface (makes sense). Soon ... perhaps this week at MWExpo, we'll find out.
Life would be so grand.
